Hocus Pocus Veronica Plant
Compact enough for containers!
Veronica just got a lot more interesting! 'Hocus Pocus' is a super long-flowered, richly colored variety that gives you more true-blue color and less foliage on every plant! Neat and compact enough for containers, it's also big on color and impact!
These long, sinuous violet-blue bloom wands arise in great numbers all over this plant, held above the fresh green leaves. Because 'Hocus Pocus' is better branched than most others, it sets more flowering stems than ever -- and the result it a butterfly haven that deer and other nibblers leave alone! All of this on plants just 12 inches wide and, in full bloom, 16 to 20 inches high!
The flowering begins in early summer in most climates and continues for many weeks. Veronica is a long-lasting cutflower as well as a garden and container standout, and these blooms contrast nicely with Roses, Peonies, Echinacea, Poppies, and other early summer bloomers.
'Hocus Pocus' is the brainchild of Kevin Hurd, the breeder who also brought us Dianthus Coconut Punch™ and 'Ruby Sparkles.' We are pleased to add this colorful Veronica to the available perennials for your sunny garden! Zones 4-8.
