General Guidelines

Suggested Rose Spacing

Sun

 Roses need at least 4 to 6 hours of sun each day.

Soil

 Roses prefer rich, loamy soil.

Drainage

 Roses cannot stand in water, even during the winter when they are dormant.

Companions

 Roses can be planted alone or with companion perennials. Be sure to give your roses enough room to mature and fill out.

Buildings

 Plant your roses where falling ice and snow will not damage plants.
