Description
All-America Rose Selections (AARS) Winner 2011 | Portland's Best Rose 2015

This Jackson & Perkins original, an All-American Rose Selections (AARS) winner in 2011, will have you whistling an upbeat tune as you stroll through your floral display. With its brilliant yellow flowers and sweet anise fragrance, Walking on Sunshine will keep you on top of a wave of joyfulness.

The brilliant yellow blooms, growing as large as 3 inches with soft apricot-mango petals that darken as they develop, provide a lovely contrast to the dark-green foliage throughout the season.

The various tones of the flowers create a dazzling blend of color, from light yellow to a glowing pastel that radiates warmth and sunshine. The low-maintenance, high-efficiency floribunda (No pruning!) begins vigorous blooming in clusters its first year, producing beautiful flowers on every branch throughout the season. Resistant to rust and mildew, Walking on Sunshine is a reliable dash of energy with a long growing season.

Recommended by rosarians for several areas throughout the country, including hot, humid climates, Walking on Sunshine excels as borders or in beds. The vigorous shrub grows up to 4 feet high and 3 feet wide and bushier with more branches throughout the season.

Though pruning is not necessary, prompt deadheading and late winter pruning help the shrub to grow bushier with fuller branches. The healthy foliage seems to infuse life into surrounding plants and flowers. Walking on Sunshine is an ideal first rose for beginners.

NOTE: Tree and patio roses are hardy to Zone 6 regardless of the rose variety grafted to their tops.

It's been 11 years
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Since I planted this rose. My yard comes to a point on the west side, so I planted this rose for a nice pop of color way back in the point. 11 years later, it fills up that point with glorious yellow color every year, and is just gorgeous. Vigorous is the right description, and I add full, covered with blooms, free of disease, dances through any kind of weather and comes back robust and beautiful the next spring. It is a big plant, so make sure you have plenty of room for it.

Beautiful, easy-care rose
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

This is the very first rose I've ever planted (and I'm in my 60s!) I bought three this spring, and they have flourished. The Japanese beetles loved them as much as I do, so the second flowering wasn't so good, but the first and now the third have been marvelous. We've had a record amount of rain in zone 8 NC this year, but they have weathered the storm beautifully!

Almost but Not Quite
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

I was looking for a similar replacement Yellow bare-root Rose for one that didn't survive the transplant this Spring. The description for this one peaked My interest after reviewing the description, so I was hoping ... So this was a post Spring purchase, with quick delivery. It was bare-root, and well packaged. Whether needed or not, step-by-step instructions were provided. I planted the Rose in an approximately 20" pot, and that will be it's home unless I can find a spot somewhere in the yard later. As indicated within the document(s), within 4-6 weeks I have approximately about a 1/2 dozen blooms/Roses. I rated this a 4Star purchase because I was looking for just a little larger bud-blossom-Rose. That's just Me being selfish. But that said, if You order this Rose I don't think You will be disappointed. I would love to share a pic or two, but the option isn't available.

Beautiful Yellow Roses
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Always wanted yellow roses Walking on Sunshine did not disappoint. I purchased the bareroot grafted in 2020, it grew quite quick and is still going strong. This yellow rose was quite easy to care for and it grew up to 4 foot to a little almost 5 foot. Beautiful yellow roses, they're make perfect cutting for having them in a vase.

Perfect Yellow
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

She's about 3 months old! I wanted a yellow rose and this was the right choice. I think it has the right shade of yellow for me. Very happy with my rose. After deadheading first set of blooms; I have a second set of blooms.
