Large semi-double 6-inch bloomheads mature to antique pink or blue.

This descendent of the famous rebloomer is an improvement in every way!
Plant Patent #17,169

Declaring 'Blushing Bride' "my most significant introduction to date," Dr.Michael Dirr has truly improved upon the most popular Hydrangea cultivar (Endless Summer® ever introduced! 'Blushing Bride' offers semi-double blooms of white (becoming antique pink as they mature) that rebloom more quickly on stronger stems. This shrub is more compact than its famous parent, and far more resistant to powdery mildew! Practically perfect in every way!

Bred from Endless SummerREG x 'Veitchii,' 'Blushing Bride' sets giant 6-inch semi-double florets of pure white. As they mature, they acquire either a pink or blue cast, depending on soil pH. The first flush of flowers arises in early summer, quickly followed by the repeat in mid- to late summer. No more waiting around for autumn to enjoy that second season of color!

'Blushing Bride' is only 3 to 6 feet high and wide, so you can pop it into a large container as well as the partly shaded garden. And that's good, because you may want to enjoy all its beauty up close. In addition to the semi-double blooms on ultra-strong stems (no flopping here!), the foliage also puts on a show, turning from yellow to orange and finally red in autumn. Very ornamental, adding another season of glory to 'Blushing Bride's show!

Perhaps best of all, this Hydrangea is exceptionally mildew-resistant. Powdery mildew can be a problem for Hydrangeas in humid and rainy climates, particularly late in the season. But 'Blushing Bride' stays fresh and healthy right through the worst heat, humidity, and thundershowers of summer!

If you like 'Blushing Bride' (and you will!), you've got to try the other shrubs in the Endless Summer® series too. Of course there's the original Endless Summer®, plus pink-flowered H. arborescens Bella Anna®, and the first-ever reblooming lacecap, Twist-n-Shout®. They bring the beauty of Hydrangea to the north, and extend the color display in the midwest, south and far west! Highly recommended. Zones 4-9.
