Count Radish Plus Daylily
Hardy through zone 10 in the south, but tough enough to withstand the toughest zone 3 winters!
A daylily that demands attention, 'Count Radish Plus' is a giant of a bloom saturated with unusual brick-red color. Fully 5 inches wide, these flowers catch the eye from way down the street, and you have plenty of time to notice them, because they repeat all summer!
Just 26 inches high, this plant begins flowering in midseason and then keeps going like there's no tomorrow. The big blooms look even larger against the compact plant, which works beautifully in containers as well as the sunny garden. 'Count Radish Plus' is the perfect companion to many colors within the daylily family, from the bright yellows to the gleaming whites.
Bred by Roy G. Klehm in 2003, 'Count Radish Plus' is magnificently ruffled and veined, the "creased" look of its petals adding to the depth. Fade resistant and simply unstoppable, these flowers will steal the show in any setting.
'Count Radish Plus' owes its garden performance and great size to its tetraploid nature. Traditional daylilies are diploids, but tetraploids have twice the chromosomes, giving them an overall better performance in every area from pest resistance and adaptability to bud count and flower size. Even the colors are brighter! Great choices from north to south, tetraploid daylilies are simply the best on the market today, and we highly recommend them. Zones 3-10.
