These big, double-flowered, brightly-colored blooms hold their heads up high over a long mid-spring through midsummer season! Clementine Red is absolutely the most floriferous Columbine we have ever grown, and it deserves a place of honor (and a large planting!) in your partly shaded garden this season. Self-sowing freely, this plant is unpalatable to rabbits and deer, and asks only for an autumn shearing to return bushier and more bloom-happy than before. A magnet for butterflies and hummingbirds, it is a cutflower lover's dream. Clementine Red is one of those hybrids that, when introduced, puts all previous varieties to shame with its improved habit, abundant flowering, bright colors, and ease of care. Enjoy! Zones 3-9.
