St. Brigid Mix Double Poppy Anemone Bulb - Pack of 10
Deer-resistant, hardy to zero degrees Fahrenheit, and great for cutting!
These 3-inch, semi-double flowers arise in vivid shades of red, blue, pink, and white, all surrounding a large black center that punctuates the bloom like a giant eye. Arising on strong 7- to 10-inch stems, these flowers are banked by ferny foliage for a lush, mounded look. Charming!
Like other Anemones, St. Brigid is distasteful to deer, making it a good choice for gardens plagued by munching deer, as well as for woodland settings. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is hardy in zones 7-10. Plant the tubers in fall, setting them about 3 inches deep in the soil, or just below the surface in containers. If you live north of zone 6, pot up the tubers in late winter, then bring outdoors and plant in the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Zones 7-10.
