Adored by butterflies and hummingbirds but ignored by deer.

Foxgloves are always a joy in the garden, but this new one will astound you! The blooms are a warm white color boasting a rich red spotted throat. These bell-shaped flowers appear in late spring atop well-branched, compact plants, drawing in butterflies and hummingbirds but proving unpalatable to deer. Zones 5-9.Note: Digitalis is one of the most famous toxic plants. While small doses of the plant are actually used to good effect in heart medicine, high doses can cause cardiac arrhythmia and even death.
