Bigger, Bolder Blooms on Compact Plants!
Origami Mix Aquilegia caerulea Columbine Plant
Big, bold blooms in dazzling colors!
Perfect for containers as well as the garden, because the flowers face straight up!
Rocky Mountain Columbine (the state flower of Colorado) is a magnificent sight growing wild, but you haven't seen anything until you've grown this stunning new variety for the garden! 'Origami Mix' is a beautiful blend of 6 colors (4 of them bicolors) of exceptionally showy, HUGE blooms. Perfect for planters and windowboxes, the flowers face straight up, the better to show off their lovely color combos!
Fully 3 inches wide, these flowers arise in pure white, yellow, and 4 combinations with white: blue, red, rose, and pink! No other flower has the unique shape of Columbine, and these blooms are breathtaking in any setting on plants 16 to 18 inches high.
Happiest in sun or dappled shade, 'Origami' is an upright plant just right for the perennial border, patio, woodland plantings, or accents as well as containers of all kinds.
'Origami Mix' blooms very uniformly -- all the colors open at the same time on equally-tall plants, making it a great choice for a large planting or a formal setting. You will love this easy, unusual perennial!
